Ironbark Aboriginal Corporation is proud to announce the expansion of its employment services footprint across the Northern Territory, following the award of a significant new Workforce Australia Generalist stream contract, commencing 1 July 2025.
The contract will see Ironbark deliver tailored employment and support services to jobseekers across new sites in Casuarina and Palmerston, further strengthening its impact in the Darwin-Daly region.
Ironbark has delivered the Community Development Program (CDP) since 2015 across the Darwin – Daly region, including the communities of Adelaide River, Batchelor, Belyuen and the Cox Peninsula, Berry Springs, Daly River and Nauiyu Community, and Humpty Doo – all within Region 35.
In a landmark achievement, Ironbark is now the only Indigenous organisation in Australia to be awarded a Workforce Australia contract of this kind under the Generalist stream.

As a 100% Aboriginal-owned, not-for-profit organisation, Ironbark has long championed employment pathways and skills development for jobseekers with a focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This new contract builds on that foundation, enabling Ironbark to:
- Increase its regional and urban presence and service delivery capacity
- Support more jobseekers with locally tailored, culturally safe programs
- Partner with employers to foster inclusive workplaces and long-term employment outcomes
- Drive sustainable economic growth across communities
“This contract enables us to deepen our connection to community and deliver programs that not only help people into jobs, but change lives,” Mr Pearce said.
